Certificate eligibility

No cleaning certificate for partial cleaning only.

A cleaning certificate is delivered only when the full relevant system has been assessed and cleaned. Partial cleaning of one component is not enough for certification.

For a certificate, we do not clean only one visible component. The full relevant system must be assessed, such as the extraction hood, filters, grease duct and extraction fan when they are part of the installation.

Important condition

If only the extraction hood is cleaned while the grease duct or extraction motor remains contaminated, a full cleaning certificate cannot be issued. The certificate belongs to a complete and verifiable cleaning of the system.

Periodic maintenance

A maintenance plan makes cleaning, proof and certificate follow-up more predictable.

For hospitality extraction, one-off cleaning is often not enough. Grease returns through daily cooking, frying and grilling. A maintenance plan helps organize cleaning, inspection, photo proof and certificate moments more reliably.

The page should make clear that maintenance is not only about cleaning. It is also about out-of-hours planning, verifiable scope, before / after photos, cleaning history and a proof file that can support internal checks, landlords or insurance questions.

Prevent backlog

Periodic follow-up helps prevent grease buildup from being discovered only when the situation becomes urgent.

Planned proof

Photos, reporting and certificate can be structured more clearly per maintenance visit.

Built for hospitality

Restaurants, snack bars, fryer kitchens, hotels and commercial kitchens often have recurring grease load.

Maintenance search intent

Maintenance plan for grease ducts, hospitality extraction and periodic hood cleaning.

This page targets business owners who are not only looking for one-off cleaning, but also recurring follow-up for grease ducts, extraction hoods, filters, fans, certificate and photo proof.

For periodic cleaning

The copy explains why grease load returns and why the right maintenance frequency can differ per kitchen.

For proof files

The page connects maintenance with photo proof, reporting, certificate and cleaning history.

For hospitality planning

The visitor understands that maintenance can be planned around opening hours, technical access and quieter time windows.

Why maintenance?

Periodic maintenance helps prevent hidden grease buildup

In a hospitality kitchen, greasy vapor passes through the extraction hood, filters, duct opening, grease duct, motor and fan every day. Even when the visible hood looks acceptable, contamination can build up in less visible areas.

A maintenance plan makes cleaning more predictable. Instead of reacting only when heavy contamination, odor, smoke, inspections or insurance questions appear, the system can be reviewed periodically and cleaned when needed.

More control over grease buildup
Less dependence on urgent visits
Better planning around opening hours
Clearer cleaning history
Better proof file with photos
Logical follow-up for certificate

Frequency

The right maintenance frequency depends on grease load

Not every kitchen needs the same cleaning frequency. A snack bar, fryer kitchen or grill business can build up grease faster than a lighter lunchroom or hotel kitchen. Duct length, fan position, access, opening hours and cooking intensity also matter.

That is why a maintenance plan should not be based blindly on one fixed rule. Frequency is better defined by inspection, photos, previous contamination, usage intensity and the components that must be cleaned verifiably.

Hotels and commercial kitchens
Company canteens
Ductwork and fan context
Opening hours and access

Proof file

Photo proof, reporting and certificate make maintenance verifiable

For many hospitality owners, the proof after cleaning is as important as the cleaning itself. A maintenance plan can help structure photos, service notes, inspection context and certificates per maintenance visit.

A cleaning certificate is possible when the agreed full scope has been completed and is verifiable. With partial cleaning or limited access, it must be clear what was and was not cleaned.

Before / after photos per visit
Report of completed components
Certificate after full scope
Maintenance history for administration
Supporting file for fire safety
Clear limitations when access is restricted

Planning

Plan maintenance without unnecessary kitchen downtime

For hospitality businesses, timing is critical. A maintenance plan makes it easier to schedule cleaning outside busy hours, in the evening, early in the morning or during quieter operating windows.

Maintenance becomes part of business operations instead of an unexpected interruption. Required photos, access points, roof access or technical information can also be discussed in advance to make the visit more efficient.

Prepare your request

Share photos for a focused review.

You do not need to know every technical detail. Photos of the hood, filters, duct opening, motor or visible grease buildup help define the scope faster.

Photos of hood, filters and duct opening
Photos of motor, fan or roof unit when accessible
Kitchen type: restaurant, snack bar, hotel, commercial kitchen or canteen
Average cooking or frying intensity
Previous cleaning date or existing certificate if available
Preferred maintenance frequency or review planning

Frequently asked questions

Answers for hospitality business owners.

Why is a maintenance plan useful for hospitality extraction?

Because grease buildup returns through daily cooking, frying and grilling. A maintenance plan helps plan inspection, cleaning, photo proof and certificate follow-up more reliably.

How often should a grease duct or extraction hood be cleaned?

That depends on grease load, cooking intensity, kitchen type, duct length, access and previous contamination. A snack bar or fryer kitchen may need more frequent maintenance than a lighter kitchen.

Do I receive a certificate after every maintenance visit?

A certificate is possible when the agreed full scope has been completed and is verifiable. With restricted access or partial cleaning, the proof should clearly state what was and was not cleaned.

Can maintenance be planned outside opening hours?

Yes. Out-of-hours planning, evening planning, early morning work or quieter time windows can be discussed based on location, access and technical scope.

Does a maintenance plan help with fire safety and insurance?

A maintenance plan can help make cleaning history, photos and reporting more verifiable. It does not guarantee automatic insurance acceptance, but it supports a clearer proof file.

Do I always receive a certificate after cleaning?

No. A certificate is issued only when the full relevant system has been assessed and cleaned according to the agreed scope. Partial cleaning of one component is not enough.

Why is cleaning only the extraction hood not enough for a certificate?

Because grease and contamination can also build up in filters, the grease duct, the duct opening and the extraction motor. For certification, the relevant system must be assessed as a whole.

Can I know in advance whether my installation is suitable for a certificate?

Yes. You can share photos or videos. Based on that, we review which parts need to be checked and cleaned to qualify for a certificate.
